FREEDOMMMMMMMMMMM
goddddddddddd. this positively prehistoric wip is finally free from my documents....... i've been released. the google doc is over 3 years old which is already like hdsafhjdajds girl. but the note on my phone was made in aug 2021 which tracks considering i fell into arakaoism in july that year and ofc started cooking pacrim asap. honestly the almost 3yr jazzclub arakao hiatus is kinda frying me hajdhkwgsjwhdhgqjs but let's get into it

found a bunch of miscellaneous extra snippets of writing that either were part of other fics and didn't work, or were going to be fics but i lost the juice/interest... figured i might as well post....!

for this first one, back in 2021 at the height of my arakao brain damage, many dear friends indulged my whims even though they rlly didn't have to and here is a series that was written based on me going "PLEASEEEEE WRITE ABOUT ARAKAO" when asked for help on a creative writing projectafhjkfhjak which inspired me write my own arakao where arashi is a mermaid just to see how i could spin it.. however merperson aus aren't actually particularly interesting to me like i don't think interspecies romances are really all that honestly (not you the shape of water 2017 never you) so i lost interest after penning a couple of scenes. i think the plot was going to be the typical sort of fisherman catches beautiful mermaid in net, nurses her to health, they bond, eventual romance etc etc. maybe there was going to be some implied transgenderism with kaoru also... humanity's binary ideations of gender from the perspective of someone who really has no idea about all that > cracking eggs? mostly i think i was fighting for my life thinking about how the fuck merfolk would function physiologically and it was killing me like i was really googling the fuck out of cetacean anatomy like HELPPPPP HELPPPPPP. all this to say that the last edit was in march of 2022 so i can't speak for quality but i figure i may as well post it here for the memories

the next is portions from snnrnsfw that i had to cut bc i wasn't rlly feeling them... sometimes u have to just get words on a page to play with them a little and then you're like woah this is kinda not delicious at all. another problem was that it was so much expository intro.. which is a problem that made it into the actual fic anyway but this one specifically had so much leo that it verged on sex comedy iznrlo throupleisms which WOULD be nice but that i did not have the patience to mold into something decent. so i gave up... :smoking: but here's the bits and pieces

in other news pacrim arakao is on its final leg i think.... definitely will have it out within the year. maybe even the first half of the year...!!

at the height of my arakao insanity 2k21 i was spitting out works in progress like it was a full time job, not thinking about anything other than the euphoria of arakao. at this point i hadn’t actually read any stories aside from like. operetta and starfes i think (naru foundational texts to ME) and maybe ressun. so it was a very very cursory understanding of canon which is why i gravitated toward aus.. which is rlly just arakao in general like girl they still haven’t spoken to each other since operetta and it was retconned. what about ME. anyway so after getting more into the actual text i lost interest in this au and i’d never really been Huge on it to begin with (kinda not into basing works On a narrative so much as basing them on a narrative’s setting or skeleton). so i had to let her go…. there were a few nice bits but in general i feel like you can tell i didn’t rlly give a fuck about the story so much as i wanted to write longing and arashi and kaoru were my favorite barbie dolls at the time of writing. last edit was in august of 2022!!! based very obviously and heavily on tachibana venio’s bl series “seven days”
